I credit my Business Technology training for being selected as Sailor of the Quarter in my Navy Reserve unit and it also helped with my recent promotion to team lead at Purple. I enjoyed learning to use the Microsoft Office programs and the Google versions of these products. Using Excel spreadsheets has become a part of my daily work life. By applying this training I recently created two online programs to help with end of day reports.

The Business program provides students the opportunity to learn skills in leadership, presentations, marketing, social marketing, basic records management, accounting practices, QuickBooks, and business software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite. Upon completion of the program, student will have gained the technical and soft skills to be employed in a wide variety of areas including large and small businesses, educational institutions, corporations, and self/‐employment.
Program Objectives:
Competencies include a broad range of technical skills using hardware and software, soft skills in customer service, presentations, marketing, leadership, and workplace skills. Gainful employment in industry is enhanced through completion of your business certificate. Students will learn to perform skills required for the occupation including but not limited to:
