While I was enrolled in the Nail Tech program at Tooele Tech, I realized that it’s the perfect time for me to bring my love for doing nails and my desire for business ownership together to make my dreams a reality. The program taught me all aspects of the industry and I was able to start my home business confidently. I enjoyed the classroom salon environment and found that I love teaching and sharing my artistic talents with others.

I enjoyed attending the Nail Technician program and found it to be a great experience. All staff members are friendly and willing to help! After my program completion and some client experience, I enrolled in the Nail Instructor program. This training enabled me to pursue my dream and open my own business, Supreme Beauty Lounge. I am now able to support other technicians to grow their clientele while we serve the local community. I’ve built a team of great Cosmetologists and Nail Technicians composed of Tooele Tech alumni.

Nail Technician Instructor
- Students must present a high school transcript, GED test scores, or be complete a TABE exam.
- Students must have received their State of Utah Division of Professional Licensing Nail Technician license.
Nail Technicians must be certified to work in this field in the state of Utah. In order to become certified students must:
- Complete 150 documented hours
- Graduate from a Utah licensed school
- Submit a “Verification of Graduation” form to DOPL with processing fee
- Pass both written and practical testing portions of the Utah/NIC Nail Technician Instructor Exam
