Tooele Technical college gave me the best foundation for my nursing career. With the skills that I learned in this program, I was confident that I could complete my registered nursing degree and bachelor’s degree in nursing. I use the skills that I learned in the Practical Nursing program every day at the University of Utah Hospital; I would not be the nurse I am without this program! My instructors were always willing to help and pushed me to be the best that I could be. Everyday I am thankful that I chose Tooele Technical College’s Practical Nursing program.

My name is Tyson, I’m a graduate of both the Clinical Medical Assisting program and the Practical Nursing program at Tooele Technical College. (It will always be Tooele Applied Technical College to me!) Growing up in Grantsville, I’m a local kid at heart and I always had a desire to serve my community as a healthcare professional. Tooele Tech allowed me the opportunity to advance my career skills, while also allowing me to be ‘ahead of the curve’ pursuing a bachelors’ degree and now going on to obtain my doctorate degree. So much of my professional life, I attribute to the skills I learned at Tooele Tech, as well as the relationships I have formed.
