Salon Services
Tooele Tech offers a variety of hair, skin and nail services to the public; walk-ins and appointments are welcome. These guest services helps students complete their training by perfecting their styling skills and techniques and log hours required to graduate. All services are performed by students under the supervision of an instructor.

Course Description:
This course provides an overview of what students will need to learn to become a Utah State licensed Barber. Students will learn basic theory about hair, salon sanitation, chemicals, hygiene and tools.
Certificate:Completion of this course certifies proficient understanding based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.
This course, in conjunction with the remaining Barbering courses, fulfills requirements for the TATC Certificate of Proficiency for the Barbering program. Completion of the program will also prepare you to sit for the Utah Division of Professional Licensing PSI Barber exam.

Students will learn different cutting techniques for men and women, styling products, roller setting and facial hair design.

In this course, students will gain a basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to barbering.
