I wanted to continue to grow in my welding skills, but after 4 years of welding courses in high school, I didn’t want to start at square one with my training. Tooele Tech’s welding program is competency
-based and it’s a perfect fit for me. I’m currently employed at Utah Fab and attending the welding program around my work schedule.

I became interested in welding during high school and decided to enroll in the concurrent course at Tooele Tech. I was able to graduate with a pathway in welding and have continued taking courses as I work on my welding certifications. My training at Tooele Tech helped me get a job with a manufacturing company near the school where I had to pass a welding test as part of the interview process. My instructors were super helpful and supportive and have helped me learn and grow as a welder. I highly recommend the program to anyone who is considering becoming a welder.
