This is a continuation of Word Processing Applications I and is designed to provide students with an advanced knowledge of word processing skills.
Certificate:Completion of this course certifies proficient Word Processing Applications (MS Word) skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.
This course fulfills requirements for the following Programs: Competencies (skills you will learn):- Manage menus, toolbars, and documents
- Sort and select data
- Perform advanced document manipulation
- Utilize special software features
- Add and manipulate visual elements
- Format documents using macros and styles
- Create specialized tables and indexes
This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.
Course Length:The estimated length of this course is 90 hours. Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.

8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Fridays
Students must be at least in the 9th grade, and have completed Word Processing I or have equivalent competencies to take this course.

Tuition & Fees:Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
