This course introduces students to the service and preventive maintenance practices commonly found in the trucking industry. Course content includes inspection and maintenance of basic truck systems including cab and hood, gasoline engine systems, electrical systems, as well as specific types of inspections: circle, drive-on, and fifth wheel repair.
This course fulfills requirements for the following Programs: Competencies (skills you will learn):- Students will be proficient in doing preventative maintenance and Dot Inspections. Gasoline engine timing, in cab inspection, circle inspection and fifth wheels.
