This is a continuation of Keyboarding I and is designed to increase speed and accuracy to a minimum job-market level of 50 wpm. The course is taught using computers with an emphasis on correct keyboarding techniques. Timings and drills are used to enhance keyboarding skills.
Certificate:Completion of this course certifies advanced keyboarding skills based on a keyboarding competency exam. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.
This course fulfills requirements for the following Programs: Competencies (skills you will learn):- Demonstrate ability to keyboard by touch
- Perform keyboarding rate of 50 wpm on a 5-minute timed writing with correction allowed
This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.
Course Length:The estimated length of this course is 30 hours. Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.

Students must be at least in the 9th grade, and have completed Keyboarding I or have equivalent competency (40 w.p.m. keyboarding ability) to take this course.

Tuition & Fees:Tuition is based on the number of enrolled classroom hours. High school students are exempt from tuition, but are responsible for course and program fees and the cost of textbooks.
