The Certified Nursing Assistant Clinical course teaches students the role and responsibilities of the nursing assistant, which are based on wellness, restoration and rehabilitation. CNA students will practice effective verbal and non-verbal (written) communications, with 100% accuracy according to the skill checklist while at the clinical site. Students will perform skills such as range of motion, positioning, moving and transferring patients from bed to wheelchair and stretcher, ambulation of patients emphasizing safety for the caregiver and the patients. Students will practice skills with patients with special needs, identifying and verbalizing a holistic approach to nursing care. The Certified Nursing Assistant Clinicals provide students with the training and experience they need to meet industry requirements and pass certifications.
Certificate:Completion of this course certifies proficiency in the skills used by a CNA. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.

This course has a defined start and end date. Students must complete all 24 hours of the clinical practice to complete the program. This means that students must arrive on time to the facility and remain on site until the class is over.
