The Utah System of Higher Education is searching for the next president of Tooele Technical College. An eight-member committee will lead the search process, conducted under authority delegated by the Utah Board of Higher Education.

 

The committee is charged with identifying exceptional candidates who will advance Tooele Tech's mission to provide rewarding, competency-based, affordable and accessible career preparation for youth and adults to meet the needs of Utah’s industries and employers.

 

Tooele Technical College Board of Trustees Chair Lori Haines-Little will chair the Tooele Technical College Presidential Search Committee. The committee brings together voices from across the Tooele Tech community, including representatives of Tooele Tech’s Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, alumni, administrators and community leaders.

Accepting Applications

The Utah Board of Higher Education is now accepting nominations and applications for the next president of Tooele Technical College. Interested candidates can learn more about the position and application process through the Tooele Technical College Presidential Leadership Profile.

The presidential search committee will review applications, conduct interviews and recommend three prioritized finalists to the Board of Higher Education, which will make the final selection in an open and public meeting. To attract the strongest possible pool of candidates and protect the integrity of the process, the search process and applicant information are kept confidential in accordance with state law.

 

While the Board strives to name a new president as soon as possible, it is committed to taking the necessary time to identify, evaluate and hire the best candidate for the position and its stakeholders.

Application Process

For full consideration, applications should be received by May 29, 2026, 11:59 p.m. MDT.

To be considered for this pivotal leadership role, please submit your CV, credentials, and qualifications to president.search@tooeletech.edu.

  1. A Narrative Letter: Outlining how your leadership style and experience align with the specific needs of Tooele Technical College.

  2. Professional CV/Resume.

The presidential search process is being conducted confidentially to attract the strongest and most qualified pool of candidates. The search committee will review applications, conduct interviews and recommend three prioritized finalists to the Utah Board of Higher Education, which will make the final selection in an open and public meeting. To protect the integrity of the process and the privacy of candidates, no information about applicants or finalists will be shared publicly until the selected candidate is officially announced.
