Developmental Math III


Course Description:

Developmental Math III focuses on understanding more involved math concepts such as greatest common factor, rational expressions, understanding proportions, roots, squares, cubes etc.

This course fulfills requirements for the following Programs:
Competencies (skills you will learn):
  • Simplifying ratios and rates
  • Understanding measures of center
  • Understanding greatest common factor
  • Understanding the substitution and elimination method
  • Understanding proportions, quadrilaterals, probability, the Pythagorean Theorem
  • Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational expressions
  • Understanding Circles, integers, adding integers, roots, squares and cubes
  • Understanding rational exponents, identifying and evaluating functions
Course Structure

This is a competency-based course offered in an open-entry/open-exit format.

Course Length:

The estimated length of this course is 120 hours. Actual course length will depend upon your schedule and your ability to master the subject material.

9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday – Thursday

Admission Requirements

Students must be enrolled or intend to enroll in a course or program at TATC. Students must be able to operate a class computer to access the training.

Tuition & Fees:

Tuition is a set price of $20 per month regardless of the number of hours a student schedules.  This course does not have an individual course fee, but please see the information sheet for your desired program for estimated total program tuition and fee costs.
